About: Afrohaus presents Oasis Nights — an intimate gathering that blends sound and flavor into a one-night-only cultural immersion. Hosted by Kelly Be, the evening will flow between curated Neo Soul, Afrobeats, and House selections, setting the atmosphere for connection and conversation.

The centerpiece of the night is The Diaspora of Sounds — a 45-minute listening journey curated by THE.WAV, spotlighting vintage East African music from the turn of the century and tracing its resonance across the global diaspora.

The night will also feature Swahili spreads prepared by Bibi’s Kitchen, offering a taste of coastal East Africa with dishes rooted in Tanzanian heritage.

In collaboration with AfroHaus, the event fused live performance, visual storytelling, and culinary culture to raise both funds and vibes. Guests enjoyed an afternoon of emerging KC talent, AfroHaus’ signature juices, and delicious East African bites—all in support of the next generation of Heartland fellows. Every beat, bite, and donation poured love back into KC’s creative ecosystem.
