About: Afrohaus presents WAV Wednesdays, a weekly listening experience designed for people who love music, memory, and sound.
Each gathering begins with a shared listening session centered on a specific era. Guests are invited to bring one song from the theme and share why it matters to them. This is a listening-first space. No pressure to perform.
The evening then shifts into The WAV, where Greg introduces a new beat inspired by the night’s theme. Guests are welcome to sit, listen, write, reflect, or create. Those who feel moved can record vocals, poetry, or ideas to the beat through an optional, donation-based recording moment.

From the He[ART] was a soulful concert fundraiser celebrating the kickoff of Heartland Art KC’s 4th Fellowship season. In collaboration with AfroHaus, the event fused live performance, visual storytelling, and culinary culture to raise both funds and vibes. Guests enjoyed an afternoon of emerging KC talent, AfroHaus’ signature juices, and delicious East African bites—all in support of the next generation of Heartland fellows. Every beat, bite, and donation poured love back into KC’s creative ecosystem. -
